The Igniting Change Gala is Call to Freedom's annual benefit dinner, live auction and legacy giving event. The 2026 gala marked ten years since Becky Rasmussen founded the organisation.

Ten years
The 2026 gala was the tenth anniversary.
Founded in 2016. A mission most people in South Dakota had never heard of, and thousands of people walked alongside since.
Ten years ago Becky Rasmussen established Call to Freedom as a nonprofit with a mission many people in South Dakota had never even heard of: fighting human trafficking and supporting survivors. What began with a small team and a big vision became an organisation with a continuum of care, a supportive housing site, and a task force spanning 44 counties.
The gala is where that community gets in one room, and where the giving that funds the long, unglamorous years of case management actually happens.
The evening
Dinner, an auction, and one decision.
Legacy giving is the theme. Gifts that keep working after the evening ends.
Social hour from 5:30
The room is the point. Business leaders, law enforcement, legislators, donors and survivors in one place.
Dinner at 7:00
Seated dinner with the programme, including survivor voices and the year's report.
Live auction
Run by auctioneer DeeDee Kiesow. Past packages have included a Vikings and Packers experience.
Legacy giving
The gala is where estate gifts, multi-year commitments and named support get discussed properly.

Sponsors are named on the night, on this site, and in the annual report.
